The charity currently works in three West African countries; Liberia, Togo and Ghana.
TWEP is embarking upon a new project – Shalom House, which will be a refuge for girls aged 13 – 23 who are currently involved in the sex trade in Ghana. The initial pilot will recruit up to 12 girls for the duration of the project cycle. Project beneficiaries will live together and receive health screening, counseling and vocational training.
We are therefore seeking up to six volunteers with a range of skills to support the implementation of the project.Volunteers will be expected to stay a minimum of 6 months and will be required to raise programme fees to cover accommodation, meals, insurance and supervision during the placement.
We are looking for dynamic and flexible individuals with a strong interest in International development and gender issues to contribute to the implementation of this project. This opportunity would suit someone who is seeking a sabbatical, seeking to change their career or utilizing their experience in a new environment.
